Sony as in having different entities in different part of world is facing a problem of not having a consistant look and feel among its wide range of websites. We need to make a proposal to higher management regarding need to revamp and create a unified look and feel which will be followed by all sony entities.
Sony america site was missing a broader appeal in terms of design, it looked like more of a single product site rather than a big portal with lots of information on entertainment and industry. I started by collecting relevent data on what all makes sense to be shown on hoempage, category pages, 360 paneroma of products, on hover feature discription, visual cues for users to find details of product, product suggestions depending upon recent browsing history etc.
I created wireframes for different sections and did mockups for same. Intial design concept was very appriciated with in Sony America and project was put in for consideration on availability of proper budget.
