Professional Journey was an experimental and a very innovative project directed to enable users create there visual resume on SlideShare in a few clicks. We had great success with pilot launch and needed more engaging and appealing templates.
My approach while designing this template was to make is closer to a infographic where a viewer doesn't need to click to discover content, it has a simple information flow with minimalist animations. I wanted to create a metaphor of growth and achieving heights in once career with "space" theme. Added animated meteor, satellite and zero gravity effects to make space realistic. Space theme will be part of pack that will be released in second quarter of 2015.
After trying quite a few approaches which includes one based on famous Nintendo Mario I finally decieded in favour of space odyssey and started with creating wirframes for same.
It was made with mobile in mind, to make it easy to explore all the data was clubbed in sections and soft scroll is implemented to toggle between these sections. All these sections feature slight animations of shooting star, satellite to zero gravity to keep the feel of space alive.
